Brilad’s SEO service fixes the technical and structural problems that stop a website from ranking on Google, then maps each important search to the one page that should rank for it. The work covers crawling, indexing, rendering, speed, site structure and content targeting. It is also the base that answer engines and AI assistants depend on, since both mostly draw from pages that search engines can already crawl and trust.

Crawling and indexing

Many ranking problems start here, often because of assumptions about how Google treats these signals:

  • A Disallow rule in robots.txt stops crawling, not indexing. A blocked URL can still appear in Google if other pages link to it, just without a description.
  • Google stopped supporting noindex inside robots.txt in September 2019. It has to be a meta robots tag or an X-Robots-Tag header.
  • A canonical tag is a hint. Google overrides it when internal links, sitemaps and redirects point to a different URL.
  • In XML sitemaps Google ignores priority and changefreq. It uses lastmod only when the dates are consistently accurate.

We compare what your sitemaps, canonicals, internal links and redirects say about each URL, and make them agree. Search Console’s page indexing report then tells us whether Google has accepted the change.

Rendering

Googlebot renders JavaScript with a current version of Chromium, but rendering can happen later than the initial crawl. Many other crawlers, including most AI crawlers, do not run JavaScript at all. For Next.js, React and other JavaScript frameworks we check the raw HTML each crawler receives. Titles, main content, internal links and structured data should all be present before any script runs.

Page speed and Core Web Vitals

Google measures three Core Web Vitals from real Chrome users, at the 75th percentile of page loads:

Lab tools like Lighthouse are useful for finding causes, but Google uses field data from the Chrome UX Report. We fix issues at their source, which is usually the theme, oversized images, third-party scripts or slow server response, and then track the field data until it passes.

Crawl budget

Google says crawl budget is a real concern mainly for sites with more than about a million pages, or around ten thousand pages that change daily. On most business websites the real issue is wasted crawling: faceted filters, internal search pages and parameter URLs creating thousands of near-duplicate URLs. We close those off so crawling goes to the pages that matter.

Site structure

Search engines judge the importance of a page partly by how it is linked from the rest of the site. We map every page to a topic group, make sure each group has a hub page linking to its detail pages and back, and find pages with no internal links at all (orphan pages) that Google struggles to find or value.

URL structure follows the same logic. /services/geo/ tells a search engine and a person where a page sits before either reads it.

Keyword and intent mapping

Search volume alone is a poor guide. Two keywords with similar volume can have completely different intent, and Google shows that intent in its results: a query returning product pages wants a product page, and a query returning guides wants a guide. We check the live results for each target query before assigning it.

Each query group gets one target page. When two of your pages compete for the same query (keyword cannibalisation), Google often ranks neither well. We find these cases in Search Console, where one query shows impressions spread across several of your URLs, and merge or re-target the pages.

Is SEO still worth doing now that AI answers take clicks?

Yes. Google’s AI Overviews and most AI assistants draw on pages that already rank or are already in a search index. A site with weak SEO gives those systems less to work with.

How long before SEO changes show results?

Technical fixes can be live within weeks. Google then has to recrawl and re-evaluate the affected pages, which can take from a few days to several months depending on the size of the site and how often Google crawls it.

Do you guarantee rankings?

No. Google’s own guidance on hiring an SEO warns that no one can guarantee a number one ranking. Every recommendation we make comes with the data behind it, so you can judge it yourself.
