SEO Training in Pune: From Beginner to SEO and WordPress Expert in One Month

This is a one month, hands-on course in Pune that takes someone with no background in search or websites to the point where they can build a WordPress site, make it rank, make it quotable by AI assistants, write a working plugin, and automate the repetitive parts of the job. The fee is Rs. 25,000. The trainer is Gunakesh Parmar, co-founder of Brilad.

Most SEO courses in India teach keywords, meta tags and link building, finish there, and leave you unable to change the website you are supposed to be optimising. This one is built the other way round. You learn to build the thing first, then to make it visible, then to automate the work that would otherwise eat your week.

Who this course is for

It suits you if you are one of these.

It is not a good fit if you want a certificate to attach to a CV without doing the work, or if you are looking for ranking tricks. There are none in here, because the ones that exist stop working and take the site down with them.

What you will be able to do by the end

These are the actual, checkable outcomes. Each one is something you will have done yourself during the month, not watched someone else do.

  1. Register a domain, set up hosting, install WordPress and take a site live.
  2. Build a WordPress child theme and edit templates in PHP without breaking the site.
  3. Write and activate your own WordPress plugin with an admin settings page.
  4. Run a full technical audit of any website and write the fix list in priority order.
  5. Do keyword and question research that reflects how people actually search and how they prompt AI assistants.
  6. Write pages structured so that Google can snippet them and an AI assistant can quote them.
  7. Implement structured data correctly and validate it.
  8. Set up Google Search Console, GA4 and a Google Business Profile, and read them without guessing.
  9. Measure whether ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot mention a brand, and track the change.
  10. Build automations that do your research, reporting and publishing chores for you.
  11. Run off-page work and social profiles as entity signals rather than as busywork.

Week 1: Foundations, and your first site live

The first week removes the mystery from both halves of the job.

How search and AI answers actually work

Crawling, indexing and ranking as three separate stages, and why a page can be indexed and still never appear. What a search engine does with a query. Why an AI assistant does something different: it rewrites your question into several sub-queries, retrieves candidate pages, picks passages, and writes an answer from them. The practical consequence is that ranking and being quoted are related but not the same achievement, and you will be working on both.

Search intent and keyword research

The four intents and how to tell them apart from the result page rather than from a guess. Finding the questions real buyers ask, in their words. Mapping one page to one job instead of stuffing five topics onto a home page. Reading the result page as a brief: what Google is already rewarding tells you what the page has to contain.

On-page SEO

Title tags, meta descriptions, heading hierarchy, URL structure, internal linking, image alt text and how each is actually used. What matters, what is folklore, and how to tell which is which when someone on YouTube tells you otherwise.

WordPress from zero

Domains, DNS and hosting explained in plain terms. Installing WordPress. The dashboard. Posts against pages, categories against tags, menus, media. Choosing a theme without ending up locked into a page builder you cannot escape. Essential plugins, and the much longer list of plugins you do not need.

By the end of week 1 you will have a live WordPress site of your own, with real pages, on your own domain.

Week 2: Technical SEO and WordPress development

Week two is where most beginners are told to stop. We do not.

Technical SEO you can act on

Site architecture and crawl depth. robots.txt, XML sitemaps, canonical tags and when each is the right tool. Redirects: 301 against 302, redirect chains and how migrations break sites. Core Web Vitals, what LCP, INP and CLS measure, and the handful of fixes that account for most real improvement. Mobile rendering. HTTPS and mixed content. Index bloat and why thin tag archives quietly hurt you.

Structured data

What JSON-LD is and where it goes. Organization, LocalBusiness, Article, Product, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList and Person. Building one connected graph with stable identifiers rather than six disconnected blocks. Validating it, and understanding why an invalid property is worse than a missing one.

WordPress development

This is the part that separates you from everyone who only knows the dashboard. Enough PHP to be useful, and no more than that. The WordPress template hierarchy, so you know which file controls which page. Child themes, and why editing a parent theme is a mistake you only make once. The loop. Hooks: actions and filters, the mechanism that the whole of WordPress is built on. Enqueuing styles and scripts properly. Working on a local development setup and moving changes safely to a live site.

By the end of week 2 you will have built a child theme and changed how your site renders, in code.

Week 3: AEO, GEO and plugin development

Week three is the part no standard SEO syllabus in India covers properly, and it is the reason this course exists.

Answer Engine Optimisation

Writing a page so a single passage answers one question completely and still makes sense when lifted out of its surroundings. Question-shaped headings. FAQ sections that earn their place, with schema, and the pages where an FAQ adds nothing. Formatting for extraction: when a table beats a paragraph, when a numbered list beats both. Titles and meta descriptions as content rather than as leftovers.

Generative Engine Optimisation

Which crawlers each AI company runs, and the important distinction between a training crawler and a search crawler, so you do not block yourself out of ChatGPT while trying to protect your content. Why a site that builds its content in the browser with JavaScript can look empty to most AI crawlers. Entity clarity: making every mention of a business across the web resolve to the same company, using consistent naming, sameAs links and profile hygiene. What llms.txt is, how to write one, and an honest account of what it does not do.

Measuring AI visibility

Building a fixed question set that matches how buyers actually ask. Running it across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot. Recording whether the brand is named, in what position, which source was cited, and whether the description is accurate. Repeating it on a schedule so you have a trend instead of a screenshot.

Plugin development

Plugin file structure and the header that makes WordPress recognise it. Activation and deactivation hooks. Shortcodes. Custom post types and taxonomies, and when they are the right answer. Building an admin settings page with the Settings API. Security done properly: nonces, capability checks, sanitising input and escaping output, which is where most amateur plugins fail. Writing a small plugin that solves a real problem on your own site.

By the end of week 3 you will have written and activated your own plugin.

Week 4: Automation, off-page, social and measurement

The final week is about doing all of the above without it consuming your entire working life.

AI automations

Using language models properly for the parts of the job they are genuinely good at: research synthesis, first drafts you then rewrite, bulk metadata, content gap analysis, clustering question lists, summarising logs and reports. Prompting that produces usable output instead of generic text. Connecting tools with APIs and with no-code workflow builders. Where to put a human check, and why a pipeline that publishes unreviewed AI output eventually damages the site it was meant to help.

Off-page and digital PR automation

Why third-party corroboration decides whether an AI assistant trusts a brand. Finding the directories, review platforms and listicles that actually get cited in your category. Prospecting and outreach workflows, with tracking, so follow-up is systematic rather than remembered. Review generation as a repeatable process. Monitoring brand mentions automatically instead of searching for your own name every Friday.

Social media automation

Treating profiles as entity signals first and broadcast channels second: one name, one description, one address, linked from the site, so machines can resolve them to the same business. Scheduling and queue management. Repurposing one piece of work into several formats without producing filler. Measuring what actually came from it.

Analytics, local SEO and reporting

Google Search Console properly: queries, pages, the difference between impressions and position, and the reports people misread. GA4 set up so the numbers mean something, including how to see AI assistant referrals. Google Business Profile, categories, posts, the Q and A section and reviews, which is the core of local visibility in a city like Pune. Building a report a client or a manager can act on, in one page.

Final project

You take one real website, audit it, fix it, write for it, mark it up, measure it, and present the before and after. That project is what you show to a client or an employer, and it is yours to keep.

The tools you will work with

Everything used in the course is free or has a usable free tier. You will not be asked to buy a subscription.

Area Tools
Build WordPress, a local development environment, a code editor, basic Git
Technical audit Google Search Console, PageSpeed Insights, a crawler on its free tier, structured data validators
Analytics GA4, Google Business Profile
AI search ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot
Automation A no-code workflow builder, spreadsheets, APIs

What one month can and cannot do

This matters more than any promise, so it is on the page rather than left for the call.

One intensive month, with the assignments actually done, is enough to make you genuinely employable and genuinely dangerous on a real project. You will be able to build, audit, fix, write, mark up, measure and automate. That is a working practitioner.

What one month does not produce is experience. Judgement about which of twenty possible fixes matters most for a particular business comes from doing this across many sites over years. The course gives you the method and the reasoning behind it so that your judgement develops quickly and correctly, instead of from guesswork and forum advice.

Anyone selling you a guaranteed job, a guaranteed ranking or a guaranteed income from a one month course is selling you something they cannot deliver. We are not going to do that.

Your trainer

The course is taught by Gunakesh Parmar, co-founder of Brilad, an AEO, GEO, SEO and AI development consultancy based in Pune. The material is the same work Brilad does for clients, taught by someone who does it rather than by someone reading a syllabus. Where the course covers crawler behaviour, structured data or AI visibility measurement, the examples come from live client work.

Brilad also runs a separate one day AEO and GEO workshop for company teams, which is the right option if you want an existing in-house team brought up to speed rather than an individual trained from scratch.

Fee and what is included

The fee is Rs. 25,000 for the full one month course. It includes every session, assignment review, the course material, and the templates and checklists you will use afterwards: the technical audit checklist, the JSON-LD templates, the AI visibility tracking sheet and the automation workflows built during week four.

Your own domain and hosting for the practice site are not included, because you choose and own them. Budget hosting suitable for the course costs very little, and we will tell you what is adequate before you spend anything.

Where the training happens

The course runs in Pune. Brilad has two offices in the city:

The Pimple Nilakh office is convenient if you are working or living in Wakad, Baner, Aundh, Hinjawadi, Pimple Saudagar, Pimpri Chinchwad or Balewadi. The Wagholi office is the easier side if you are in Kharadi, Viman Nagar, Chandan Nagar, Lohegaon or on the Nagar Road corridor. Tell us which side of the city suits you when you enquire.

How to join

Get in touch through the contact page or call +91 86684 42535. Tell us your current background, what you want to be doing after the month, and which part of Pune you are coming from. We will tell you honestly whether this course is the right one for you, and confirm the next batch dates and timings.

Frequently asked questions

What is the fee for this SEO training in Pune?

Rs. 25,000 for the complete one month course, covering SEO, AEO, GEO, WordPress development, plugin development and AI automation. There is no separate charge for material or templates.

How long is the course?

One month. Batch timings and the weekly schedule are confirmed when you enquire, because they vary between batches.

Do I need any coding or SEO experience?

No. The course starts from the assumption that you have never installed WordPress and have never opened Search Console. The PHP you need is taught during the course, limited to what WordPress development actually requires.

Will I really be able to build a WordPress plugin after one month?

Yes, a real working plugin with an admin settings page, written securely. It will be a focused plugin that solves one problem rather than a complex commercial product, and you will understand every line in it.

Why does an SEO course include AEO and GEO?

Because a growing share of buyers now get their answer from an AI assistant instead of clicking a result. Optimising only for the classic result page leaves that traffic to competitors. AEO is about making individual answers extractable, and GEO is about being the source an AI assistant chooses to cite. Both build on SEO rather than replacing it.

Is the course in person or online?

The course runs in Pune. If you need an online option, say so when you enquire and we will tell you what is possible for that batch.

Do you guarantee a job or placement?

No. No honest training provider can guarantee employment. What you will have is a live site you built, a plugin you wrote, and a documented before and after on a real website, which is considerably more than most candidates bring to an interview.

Do I get a certificate?

Ask on your enquiry call and we will confirm what the current batch includes. The portfolio you finish with carries more weight with employers and clients than any certificate does.

What do I need to bring?

A laptop and an internet connection. Every tool used in the course is free or has a free tier that is sufficient. You will need your own domain and hosting for the practice site, which costs very little, and we will advise before you buy.

Which areas of Pune is this convenient for?

Brilad has offices in Pimple Nilakh and Wagholi, which covers both sides of the city. Pimple Nilakh suits Wakad, Baner, Aundh, Hinjawadi, Balewadi, Pimple Saudagar and Pimpri Chinchwad. Wagholi suits Kharadi, Viman Nagar, Chandan Nagar, Lohegaon and the Nagar Road side.

Can my company team attend instead of an individual?

For an existing in-house team, the one day AEO and GEO workshop is usually the better fit, because it uses your own website, competitors and server logs in the exercises. This one month course is designed for individuals building the skill from the ground up.

What does this course not cover?

It does not cover paid advertising in depth, which is a separate discipline. It does not cover enterprise SEO platforms, because you will not have access to them and the fundamentals matter more. It does not teach link buying, private blog networks or any other tactic that carries a penalty risk.

How is this different from other SEO classes in Pune?

Two differences. First, you learn to build and change websites in code, not only to write recommendations somebody else implements. Second, it covers AI search visibility, which most syllabuses have not been updated to include. The combination is what makes someone useful on day one.

How do I enrol?

Use the contact page or call +91 86684 42535. We will talk through your background and goals before taking a booking, because we would rather turn away someone the course does not suit than take their money.
