A conversion-ready page is one that lets a visitor who arrives from a search result or an AI answer take the next step without friction. It is a Brilad working checklist, not a search ranking factor. We include it in AEO and GEO work because visibility is only useful if the people it brings can act, and visitors from AI answers arrive with different expectations from traditional search visitors.
How AI visitors differ
Someone who clicks through from an AI answer has usually read a summary first. They already know the basics and often already have your name. They are looking for what the summary could not give them: prices, detail, proof, and a way to get in touch. Pages that repeat the basics and hide the next step lose them.
ChatGPT adds utm_source=chatgpt.com to many of the links it shows, and visits from Perplexity, Copilot and Gemini appear as referrals from their domains. Analytics can therefore show how many visitors arrive from AI tools and what they do next.
The Brilad conversion-ready checklist
- The page states in its first lines what the service is and who it is for.
- Prices, starting prices or the factors that set the price are on the page.
- The next step is named plainly (“Book an AI Search Audit”), and appears near the top and again at the end.
- The page says what happens after someone gets in touch.
- The contact route is short: a few form fields, a phone number, or both.
- Proof sits near the call to action: a named person, an example of work, a relevant figure.
- The page works well on a phone, where many AI app users read.
- Nothing blocks the content on arrival, such as full-screen pop-ups.
Common problems
| Problem | Why it loses visitors |
|---|---|
| “Contact us for pricing” and nothing else | The visitor came to learn the price and leaves to find a competitor who states one |
| Long forms with many required fields | Each extra field reduces completions |
| Generic calls to action such as “Submit” or “Learn more” | The visitor does not know what will happen |
| Contact buttons that lead to a broken or missing page | The visit ends at an error |
| No named people anywhere | Nothing tells the visitor who they would be dealing with |
Measuring it
- In analytics, segment visits by AI referral sources and compare their enquiry rate with other sources.
- Track which landing pages AI visitors reach most often, and apply the checklist to those first.
- Ask new enquiries how they found you. “ChatGPT recommended you” is an answer worth recording.
Frequently asked questions
Does conversion rate affect rankings or AI citations?
Not directly as far as any provider has said. The checklist is about turning visibility into enquiries, which is the reason to invest in visibility in the first place.
Should every page have a contact form?
No. Guides and articles need a clear link to the relevant service and contact page. Service pages benefit most from a direct contact route.
