On July 2018, China based consumer goods company; Cybex a part of Goodbaby International Holdings Limited, launched Cybex Sirona M with SensorSafe 2.0 technology, a convertible safety seat that has a smart phone synched with it. The product has a safety technology that gives alert during unsafe conditions in roads. This technology helps in baby monitoring in case the child has unbuckled himself while the vehicle is in motion and gives signal regarding the extreme temperature inside the vehicle, which may harm the child. The product has Linear Side Impact Protection (LSP) system, which reduces the side impact forces by 25% and an integrated harness that adjusts with the child. In addition to this, the products includes a SensorSafe App that has instruction manual regarding the proper usage of the car seat.

Cybex is continuously investing in research and development with focusing upon innovative technology and iconic design. In 2014, Cybex merged with Goodbaby in order strengthen the company’s product portfolio on childcare products. The company follows the safety norms of the associations such as National Highway Traffic Safety Association while designing the safety products. The product costs US$ 329.99 and is suitable for children lying between the age group of four to six years.

In 2017, the global baby car seat market was valued at US$ 4,890.81 Mn 2017. Thus, this product innovation on baby car seat helped the company to increase the market share in order to continue a strong competition when compared with other players. This product portfolio expansion will also help the company to grab a large number of customer base who are seeking proper safety seats. The company aggressively focuses on promotion of the product through brochures and displaying the same through online platforms, which attracts attention of the parents who have busy work schedules and prefers online shopping.
